Description
I made this myself and took all the pictures (I know they are bad quality but they were taken with a 3DS). These are very tasty. You can also add diced celery or other veggies like frozen carrots if you prefer.
Here is the recipe:
1: Ingredients
You'll need:
One can of pinto or black beans or
whatever kind of beans you prefer,
drained and rinsed
1 small to medium-sized onion, minced
1 large egg
1/2 breadcrumbs
1 tbsp ground cumin
1/3 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 cup frozen corn
salt and pepper
vegetable oil (for frying)
2: Smash the beans with a fork in a
bowl
3: Lightly beat egg in a separate
bowl
4: Onions (you can sautee them first
but I find the burgers more flavorful
if you don't. Your preference)
5: Breadcrumbs
6: Garlic
7: Cumin (I used two of these spoons)
8: Frozen corn
9: Mix all ingredients in a bowl
until completely moist
10: It should look like this
11: Divide into (semi) equal
portions. As you can see, I'm not
that good at it XD
12: Heat oil in skillet (preferably
non-stick) over medium heat
13: Once oil is sizzling hot, shape
the bean mixture into a patty and lay
in the pan
14: Cook until both sides are a
golden brown
15: Doesn't that look yummy?
16: Once nice and brown, drain on a
paper towel
17: I like to add the cheese while
the burger is hot so the cheese melts
a little
18: Put some mayo (or whatever you
like) on the type of bun you prefer
and plop that bad boy on there (careful,
they can easily fall apart on you)
19: I added just a little onion to mine
but you can add whatever suits your
fancy
20: Enjoy!
